Welcome to the San Benito County General Plan Update Website. In March 2009 the County began a 30-month process to update the existing General Plan. The General Plan guides land use, economic, transportation, infrastructure, agricultural, resource, environmental, and other decisions. The General Plan is intended to provide for orderly growth and convey the community's values and expectations for the future.

This website is your center for information related to the General Plan Update. The links on the right side of this webpage provide access to project documents, General Plan Advisory Committee meetings and materials, public input opportunities, workshops and meetings, and staff contact information. The links on the left side of this webpage provide access to frequently asked questions about the General Plan Update process.
