Welcome to the San Benito County General Plan Update Website. In 2009 the County began a 3-year process to update the existing General Plan. The General Plan guides land use, economic, transportation, infrastructure, agricultural, resource, environmental, and other decisions. The General Plan will provide for orderly growth based on the community's values and vision for the future.

This website is your center for information related to the General Plan Update. The links on the right side of this webpage provide access to project documents, General Plan Advisory Committee meetings and materials, public input opportunities, workshops and meetings, and staff contact information. The links on the left side of this webpage provide access to frequently asked questions about the General Plan Update process.

Community Workshop #4 Summary Report (February 2011)

On January 26, 2011, the County hosted a community workshop to gather input on alternatives for future change within the county over the next 25 years. Over 40 community members attended the workshop. This report summaries the input received from county residents and stakeholders during the workshop.
